Captures & Safe Squares
Land a token exactly on a square occupied by a single opponent token to capture it, sending it straight back to base. You'll need to start that token's journey over from scratch.
- Safe squares — every player's starting square, plus one star-marked square per color, are always safe. Tokens resting there can never be captured, no matter whose turn it is.
- Master Ludo blocking — stack two of your own tokens on the same square and it becomes a block. Opponents can't land on it while it's occupied, giving you a way to hold a key square.
- Exact finish — in all three rule sets, you must roll the exact number of spaces remaining to bring a token all the way home. Rolling too high simply means that particular token can't move on that turn.
